CWDM & DWDM

Wavelenght Division Multiplexing technology

ANS allow telecom operators, SAN architects and ISP infrastructure providers to build simple, straightforward and cost effective solutions to fulfill their ongoing and future network capacity needs. ANS addresses the data growth and application demands of evolving enterprise data centers; enable server, SAN, and data center consolidation; and reduce infrastructure and administrative costs. Efficiency and performance are key aspects.

Increase your data!

Transmit and receive from 16 (CWDM) to 80 (DWDM) protocols throughout your fiber.
Most simple and cost effective transport mechanism for SAN and IP traffic between remote sites.
Pro-long the life of your multimode infrastructure

Reduce your cost!

  • Small extra investments in equipment
  • Return on investment time only a few months
  • Large cost savings on the fiber leasing costs
  • Reduce infrastructure and administrative costs
  • Cost-effective alternative for network operators
  • CWDM offers simply the lowest total cost of ownership, a straight forward way to increase capacity and all with an incredible flexibility.

Passive solution!

Our CWDM solution is a passive solution so there is no need for power nor for management.

Active solution!

For most SAN & Data Centre connections, ANS Passive solutions offer best in class performance at excellent service delivery price points. There are however, some instances when an active solution is required, such as longer distances between sites or if a switch vendor restricts the use of alternative transceivers in their equipment.

Keep it simple : Plug & Play!

1. Insert coloured SFP in your Switch

2. Connect coloured SFP to the destinated coloured slot of the MUX/DMUX.

3. Connect Dark Fiber to the MUX/DMUX on each site

OADM!

Optical add-drop multiplexers (OADM) are used in multiplexing and routing different channels of light into or out of a single mode fiber.

Multiplex your fibre - CWDM and DWDM

You can transmit multiple protocols on a pair of fibres or just on one fibre. The supported protocols are :

  • Fast Ethernet, GbEthernet and 10GbEthernet
  • FiberChannel 1Gb, 2Gb and 4Gb
  • OC3/STM1, OC12/STM4, OC48/STM16
  • Escon and Ficon
  • E1 and E3
  • Etc..
  • CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing)
  • 8 or16 wavelenghts - 20 nm spacement
  • Possibility for DWDM on 1530nm and 1550nm
  • DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing)
  • 80 wavelenghts and more - 0,8 nm spacement
  • More expensive technology as CWDM
