Active solution!

For most SAN & Data Centre connections, ANS Passive solutions offer best in class performance at excellent service delivery price points. There are however, some instances when an active solution is required, such as longer distances between sites or if a switch vendor restricts the use of alternative transceivers in their equipment.

OADM!

Optical add-drop multiplexers (OADM) are used in multiplexing and routing different channels of light into or out of a single mode fiber.

Multiplex your fibre - CWDM and DWDM

You can transmit multiple protocols on a pair of fibres or just on one fibre. The supported protocols are :

  • Fast Ethernet, GbEthernet and 10GbEthernet
  • FiberChannel 1Gb, 2Gb and 4Gb
  • OC3/STM1, OC12/STM4, OC48/STM16
  • Escon and Ficon
  • E1 and E3
  • Etc..
  • CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing)
  • 8 or16 wavelenghts - 20 nm spacement
  • Possibility for DWDM on 1530nm and 1550nm
  • DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing)
  • 80 wavelenghts and more - 0,8 nm spacement
  • More expensive technology as CWDM
